Blue Wonderland

Some of my stamping friends wanted help coming up with a card using this beautiful stamp set, Wonderland, and they wanted it in all blue.

Here’s what I came up with:

Blue Wonderland

  • Colors:  Soft Sky background, Bermuda Bay (3 5/8 X 4 7/8), Lost Lagoon (3 3/8 X 4 5/8), Whisper White (3 1/4 X 4 1/2), Silver strip (3 1/4 X 1/4)
  • Stamp Set:  Wonderland
  • Accessories:  Cute bow cut from Mini Treat Bag Framelits, random sequins

I’m glad they asked me for this idea.  Don’t think I would have done all blue, but I really like the results!

Free Make & Take for Thanksgiving!

Last night we had our first Thanksgiving Make & Take and I want to show you the wonderful projects we made!

Francine's tissue holder

Project #1 was created by Francine and I just love it! It’s a small tissue holder and it’s really simple to make.  She’s used Into the Woods DSP from the holiday catalog for the pretty paper.

Francine is selling kits so that you can make these at home.  Just $10 for a kit that makes 5 holders (tissue not included).

Marylou's Curvy Box Turkey

Project #2 was created by Marylou.  Isn’t it adorable?!!  She’s used the Curvy Keepsake Box to make them, along with lots of punches.  Just add candy…

She has kits available for sale, also!  For just $10, you’ll be able to make 6 of these cute little turkeys.  I forgot to take a picture of his “back-side”.  That will be a surprise for you!

Thanksgiving pocket boxes

Project #3 was created by me.  You can choose to make either a candy box or a place-setting to decorate your Thanksgiving table.  I used the Pillow Box Framelit that is in the holiday catalog.

I also have kits available for $10 & you’ll have supplies to make 6.

We’re doing this same event again this Sunday, October 18th.

173 Hoohana #101 in Kahului behind Safeway.

Don’t miss it!!  Did I mention…IT’S FREE!

Please RSVP so that we have everything prepped!  Leave a comment to order kits to make at home.

Thanks for stopping by & hope to see you soon!

Pretty leaves for October

Oct 2015

I love this retired set…Holiday Home!!  Colored the house with my markers.  Fall is my favorite time of year and I sure miss the beautiful leaves on the mainland!!  I lived in Denver for 3 years before I was married and used to go hiking almost every weekend. The aspen trees are gorgeous!

But, alas, I’m stuck on Maui!  Ha!

Oct 2015 (2)

I’ll be in Las Vegas with Mom the beginning of this month.  My brother & I plan to take her to a few shows & see Hoover Dam.  Maybe they’ll have some beautiful leaves?!  I have a feeling it’ll just be HOT, HOT, HOT!

I’ll be having another Tin of Cards Class on Saturday, October 10th at 11am.  Hope you can join us in making this beautiful & practical set of cards!  Contact me for more info.

And please share a comment with any Las Vegas Suggestions!!  Food?  Shows??  Lucky numbers??

Be sure & stop by Anne & Crystal’s blogs to see what they did for their October Calendars!

Special Card for New Downline!

I’m very excited to add a new person to my team… Deni Kawauchi!  She’s been a SU Demo in the past and just wanted to get back into stamping!  She found me on line and I’m so glad she did!

Here’s a special card I made to welcome her to the team:

Special Card for Downline

Card in a Box is my favorite card to make when I want to “WOW” someone!  This one is filled with flowers from Flower Patch Stamp Set and cut out using Flower Fair Framelits.  See those new pearls?  Those are Metal Rimmed Pearls in the new Holiday Catalog.

Special Card for Downline (2)

Let me know if you’re interested in becoming a demonstrator!  Some do it to have their own business, but most sign up just to get that wonderful 20 – 25% discount on all their Stampin’ Up! products!  We get together every 2 months to swap, share ideas, make something new or learn a new technique, & always eat!

By the way, I’ll be having a CARD IN A BOX CLASS after the holidays!  Who’s interested?  If you are, please post a comment!  CLICK HERE to see some of the ones I’ve made in the past.
