Here’s what we’ll be making:

Create With Cheryl Golden Leaf

This elegant card uses the Leaflit Framelits.  Simple card & so pretty!

Best Thoughts

Best Thoughts is a Hostess Set.  We’ll do a little watercoloring with aquapainters.  Cased this card from Elaine Schader.  Thanks, Elaine!

The Open Sea

I’m always running short on “Man Cards” and this one using The Open Sea is my favorite masculine stamp set!  Thanks to Stampin’ Georgia for the great idea!

Doggie Punch Art

When I saw this adorable card made by Susan Campfield, I had to give it a try.  It’s actually very quick to put together using the Hearts Framelits.

Stampin’ Distress Tool

Last week someone asked me what the Stampin’ Distress Tool was.  I’d forgotten about it and found it buried somewhere in the stamp cave!  It’s a very simple tool that adds a “vintage” look to your cards just by sliding the edges of your paper back & forth in one of the grooves.  IMG_5076

See the edges that look frayed (like you need to change your blade…), I MEANT to do that!  I think it looks neat on this card.

  • Stamps: World of Dreams, Simply Sketched (retired)
  • Colors:  Very Vanilla (1 3/4 X 5), Soft Suede (5 1/4 X 4), Soft Sky
  • Accessories: Lovely Lace Embossing Folder, Circles Collection Framelits (#7), Stampin’ Distress Tool, Antique Brads

If you’d like to make this card (plus 3 other cards), come to my June Stamp-a-Stack!  There are 2 dates to choose from:

Saturday, June 21 from 10am – noon or Tuesday, June 24 from 2-4pm.

Cost:  $10 or FREE with $20 order placed that day.

1194 W. Kuiaha Road, Haiku

Hope to hear from you!!  Aloha, Cheryl

Homemade Sympathy Cards

I like to put special care into making Sympathy Cards.  I think a homemade card at this time gives it more of a personal touch, showing how much you care. Colour Me

I created this card using a little inspiration from 2 challenges:  Colour Me_Graphic

and The Card Concept 4 CAS StyleColour Me 4 I’ve started participating in a few challenges and they help me to step out of my comfort zone a bit and come up with my own cards, instead of just casing others.  The colors I used were Soft Sky (5 3/8 X 4 1/8), Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, & Very Vanilla (base card & 5 1/8 X 3 7/8).  Stamp Sets:  Gorgeous Grunge, Papaya Collage, & Simply Sketched. Colour Me 2

The middle uses a 2 1/2″ circle punch & floral frames framelit, Boho Blossoms Punch, Vintage Faceted Designer Button tied with Linen thread.

Here’s one of my favorite Sympathy Cards from the past:

Apothecary Art Sympathy

If you’d like to make a sympathy card, birthday card, baby card, & more… this is the last day to sign up for my Tuesday afternoon class (Feb. 25 at 2pm).

Thanks for looking & have a great Sunday!
