Season’s Greetings! Time to Order 2016 Calendars!

Dec 2015

Happy December!  This month I used one of my favorite stamp sets:  Work of Art!  So simple to make a pretty card using this set.  My colors are Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Wild Wasabi.  The branch is from An Open Heart.

Dec 2015 (2)

Be sure and SLOW DOWN a bit this month and enjoy your family & friends and be sure to relax with a little stamping!  I have to tell myself this every day.  And focus on the “reason for the season”…JESUS!  We have so much to be thankful for!

Contact me to order your own 2016 desktop calendars for just $12 each. These include a sturdy plastic case.  The good news is shipping is just $6, no matter how many sets you order!  Order them soon to  get them for Christmas.

Can’t wait to see what Anne & Crystal have done this month!

Have a Merry Christmas and thanks so much for stopping by my blog!

Tin of Cards for Christmas

Came up with these two ideas when cleaning up scraps on my desk!

Wonderland meets Tin of Cards

I’d messed up the gold from Tin of Cards, getting it gluey, so I trimmed it down & added Winter Wonderland Specialty DSP (which is gorgeous!).

Home for Christmas Meets Tin of Cards

That’s the DSP called Home for Christmas.  Love the old fashioned look!  I covered up my gluey spot with a sentiment from Oh, What Fun! stamp set.  Cut it out using Tags & Labels Framelits.

Thanks for stopping by!

And, don’t forget, we’re having a FREE MAKE & TAKE tonight & Sunday at the Fabmac Model Home at 221 S. Wakea Ave. in Kahului.  Drop by and make 3 cute Halloween Projects!

Christmas Cards Already?!

I always have the best of intentions when it comes to sending out my Christmas Cards!  I mean, I make cards almost every day!  But December always catches up with me and then there’s just too much to do to send out a bunch of cards.

Not this year!  Monday I gathered with some other determined stampers and we spent the very hot day stamping, eating, and listening to Christmas music (and having a fun, fun time!).  It was a “shoebox swap” so everyone came up with their own designs and did the prepping for everyone else.  The cards were so completely different and beautiful!!

Shoebox Swap for Christmas 2015

Wonderous Wreath

Here’s my card, using Wonderous Wreath, and cased from Elaine Schader. Thanks, Elaine!  I couldn’t change a thing!

Francine's Snow Place Card

This adorable card was created by Francine, one of my downline girls, using Snow Place and that beautiful Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

Marylou's Star Card

Marylou, also one of my downline, came up with this pretty card.  Using the Star Framelits, this is a perfect way to use up some DSP!

Louella's Snowflake Card

Louella came up with this beautiful card!  Love the colors!!  Louella used a retired set and the Festival of Trees.  And we all appreciated how simple it was!  Especially after making Yvette’s amazing card!!

Yvette's Slider Card

Yvette's Slider Card (2)

Isn’t that the coolest card?!!  It was a little bit involved, especially since Yvette (also my Downline Girl) is the Embellishment Queen!!  Good thing we each made 4 cards because I’m definitely keeping one for myself!

Ramona's Wonderland Card

Last, but not least, it’s Ramona’s elegant card using Wonderland and the new, pretty Cording Trim.

Christmas Shoebox Swap

That was such a fun day!  Thanks, everyone, for stopping by…

February Calendar Page

February is here! I’ve survived 1 month of working FT and have surprised myself by actually enjoying it! The only drawback seems to be…not much stampin’ time. Have to admit, I’ve been pretty spoiled!
I decided to do some embossing using Melon Mambo Embossing Powder. The stamp set comes from Hello Love, a Hostess Stamp. Hello LoveIt’s a great deal for just $13 when the total order comes to $150!
Hope this inspires you to drag out your embossing gun & have some fun with it!
Now you can jump over to Anne and Crystal‘s blogs to see what they’ve come up with for February!

Mini Treats for my Club

I feel so happy when I get home from work to find this! IMG_8010 I slipped a treat into everyone’s order. I had lots of fun putting together these Mini Treat Bags! IMG_8011This Thinlits Die comes with lots of cute cut-outs!! I didn’t even realize it until I poured them all out on the table!Mini Tx Bag Thinlits
Perfect size for slipping in a cookie! Remember those Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps?! You’ll find them in the Big Catalog on page 199. Cookie Stamp Seasons
Please excuse my picture-taking skills… I think it’s time to look into getting some sort of “photo box”. Any suggestions?
Leave a reply in the box if you’d like Tutu’s recipe for almond cookies. My grandmother was a school teacher, first in Paia, then in Haleiwa, during WWII, and was a fabulous cook!!Tutu at church Here’s Tutu with my parents on one of her visits. She looks Hawaiian, doesn’t she? Actually, she’s English/German, & read paperback mysteries on the beach every day.
Have a great day & thanks for looking!

Celebrating Sale-a-Bration!

Today I want to show you a cute stamp set I got for FREE through Stampin’ Up!’s Sale-a-Bration Promotion!
I used the Big Day Stamp Set & the background paper is Stacked With Love paper. This would be good for man or woman, I think. Used the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities to color in the “cake”. You can get those FREE, by the way, with your $50 order during Sale-a-Bration!

Thirsty, anyone?

IMG_6181This water bottle with iced tea is the perfect way to say I’m thankful for you…maybe for a teacher, a bus driver, your favorite UPS driver!- think of all the people come in contact with every day!

IMG_6182Here’s the directions for this cute project:

  • For band around water bottle, cut DSP (I used Flowerpot DSP) 2 X 8 & use sticky strip to adhere to bottle.
  • Cut Hello Honey CS 2 1/2 X 8 1/2 & score at 2 1/2 & 6.
  • Punch hole in top, then decorate with Lost Lagoon cut out with #2 Starburst Framelit.  Tip:  Punch the circle out first so that you can see where to line up the framelit.
  • Fold bottom pocket up & use Sticky Strip to close the sides.
  • Stamp bottle image from Cycle Celebration to stamp bottle.  I did some fussy cutting, but you could also use markers to color the stamp.  I know how cranky some of you get with fussy cutting!!
  • Cut out using #2 Banners Framelits.
  • Staple (yes, that’s our cute new stapler!!) ribbon onto side of banner (Lost Lagoon 3/8″ Stretched Satin Ribbon)
  • IMG_6183Found the idea here for this cute bottle!  Hope you’re inspired to make some of these & pass them around!
