Season’s Greetings! Time to Order 2016 Calendars!

Dec 2015

Happy December!  This month I used one of my favorite stamp sets:  Work of Art!  So simple to make a pretty card using this set.  My colors are Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Wild Wasabi.  The branch is from An Open Heart.

Dec 2015 (2)

Be sure and SLOW DOWN a bit this month and enjoy your family & friends and be sure to relax with a little stamping!  I have to tell myself this every day.  And focus on the “reason for the season”…JESUS!  We have so much to be thankful for!

So much to be thankful for!

At club last month we all made candles using or stamps. It was so much fun to see what everyone came up with!

Thanksgiving centerpiece

Thanksgiving centerpiece

I’m in Texas right now at a beautiful house on Lake Belton. In the next few hours this house will be filled with Hamiltons!  So for now I’m taking my cup of coffee up to the deck to enjoy the silence and hopefully see a few deer.

I’m so happy to be together with family this Thanksgiving, especially my two daughters. Malia left yesterday to go back to Orlando, but we had such a great visit. I’m also thankful for all of you and can’t wait to get back to stamping with you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Blue Wonderland

Some of my stamping friends wanted help coming up with a card using this beautiful stamp set, Wonderland, and they wanted it in all blue.

Here’s what I came up with:

Blue Wonderland

  • Colors:  Soft Sky background, Bermuda Bay (3 5/8 X 4 7/8), Lost Lagoon (3 3/8 X 4 5/8), Whisper White (3 1/4 X 4 1/2), Silver strip (3 1/4 X 1/4)
  • Stamp Set:  Wonderland
  • Accessories:  Cute bow cut from Mini Treat Bag Framelits, random sequins

I’m glad they asked me for this idea.  Don’t think I would have done all blue, but I really like the results!

Maui Big Shots! Homework

Every 2 months the Maui Big Shots! (my downline) get together to share ideas, do some stamping, and eat!  They had some homework from last time and I couldn’t wait to see what they did with it!

Their assignment was to make something with the supplies they were given:

  • Lost Lagoon Card Base
  • Mint Macaron Card Stock
  • Real Red Card Stock
  • Real Red Satin Ribbon
  • Metal Rimmed Pearl

They didn’t have to use all supplies and could add things of their own.  Here’s the results:

Marylou made this beautiful card using a stamp set that I can’t remember…  Marylou, comment & tell us what that is!  I love the dazzling diamond sparkles and the gorgeous lace at the bottom!  Marylou just couldn’t make the red work!  That was definitely the biggest challenge!

Free Make & Take for Thanksgiving!

Last night we had our first Thanksgiving Make & Take and I want to show you the wonderful projects we made!

Francine's tissue holder

Project #1 was created by Francine and I just love it! It’s a small tissue holder and it’s really simple to make.  She’s used Into the Woods DSP from the holiday catalog for the pretty paper.

Francine is selling kits so that you can make these at home.  Just $10 for a kit that makes 5 holders (tissue not included).

Marylou's Curvy Box Turkey

Project #2 was created by Marylou.  Isn’t it adorable?!!  She’s used the Curvy Keepsake Box to make them, along with lots of punches.  Just add candy…

She has kits available for sale, also!  For just $10, you’ll be able to make 6 of these cute little turkeys.  I forgot to take a picture of his “back-side”.  That will be a surprise for you!

Thanksgiving pocket boxes

Project #3 was created by me.  You can choose to make either a candy box or a place-setting to decorate your Thanksgiving table.  I used the Pillow Box Framelit that is in the holiday catalog.

I also have kits available for $10 & you’ll have supplies to make 6.

We’re doing this same event again this Sunday, October 18th.

173 Hoohana #101 in Kahului behind Safeway.

Don’t miss it!!  Did I mention…IT’S FREE!

Please RSVP so that we have everything prepped!  Leave a comment to order kits to make at home.

Thanks for stopping by & hope to see you soon!
